ORTHOPAEDIC SERVICES

General Orthopaedics

Our Orthopaedic surgeons have been trained in general Orthopaedics.  All Orthopaedic surgeons must undergo four years of medical school in addition to five years of residency.  Most orthopaedic conditions can be seen by the majority of our physicians.  However, there are times when a specialist is needed.  Each of our surgeons is a specialist (fellowship trained) in a particular area of orthopaedic medicine.  If a specialist is recommended, your treating physician would refer you to the best specialist for that condition.  Our call center representatives are trained to assist in finding the appropriate physician for each condition.  Give us a call at 972-492-1334 and a representative will assist you.

Arthroscopic Surgery

Explanation:
The surgeon makes a tiny incision in the area around the joint and then inserts a tubular instrument called an arthroscope.  The arthroscope contains a light and a small camera, which projects an enlarged image of the interior of the joint onto a video monitor so that the surgeon can view it.  If the joint needs repair, the surgeon can insert surgical instruments into the joint through the arthroscope or through additional small incisions.
