Radiology
We have recently upgraded our imaging capabilities to Computerized Radiography (CR). CR uses conventional projection radiography in which the x-ray image is aquired in digital format using an imaging plate rather than film. It eliminates any need to process the film in the darkroom.
Benefits:
- Improved & consistent image quality
- Decreases repeat radiation exposure rate
- Minimizes patient radiation exposure
- Decreases the number of lost images
- Provides a fast and reliable archive that is able to store and retrieve exams much faster
- Reduces storage costs required for traditional film

Preparing for an X-ray :
You should wear comfortable clothing. Preferably no denim and as little metal and buttons as possible (especially near the area being x-rayed). The patient should limit the amount of jewelry they wear or be prepared to remove it if necessary.
How to request films:
To request x-ray films, you need to contact our medical records department using our main phone number 972-492-1334. They can arrange for you to obtain a request form. Once our office has received a signed request form, please allow 72 hours to process the request. There is no cost for the electronic file. If you need the x-ray printed to film, there is a $5 charge per sheet.
The Medical Records Request Form will soon be added to our Patient Forms section. Physicians | Facility | Location | Contact | MRI | Orthopaedics | Physical
