Director of Therapy Services - Michael Cox, PT, OCS graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso with a Master in Physical Therapy in 1999. He has a B.S. in Healthcare Sciences from UT Medical Branch in Galveston and a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Studies from UT Arlington. He has practiced in orthopaedic and sports medicine physical therapy settings since his graduation. In June of 2003, he was certified as a clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties of the American Physical Therapy Association. Michael is the Director of Therapy Services for MOSM (Metrocrest Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine) and has successfully led MOSM through a CARF accreditation, the gold standard for rehabilitation programs.

Derek M. Smith, PT graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2001. He has since practiced in the outpatient orthopaedics/sports medicine for 4 years. He has also received extensive training in a two year manual therapy residency program with emphasis on the spine.

Kathleen Loyd, PT, CHT graduated from Louisiana State University with a Masters degree in Social Work and received her M.S. in Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University in 1995. She has specialized in upper extremity physical therapy since 1996 and became a Certified Hand Specialist in 2001.

Melinda Metz, PT, DPT graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Gerontology. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2005 from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She has been practicing in the outpatient orthopedics/sport medicine field since graduation. She has been instrumental with progressing our pool patients and performing aquatic physical therapy.

Our therapists will work directly with referring offices to provide patients with the best in therapy care. We offer services that many other therapists in the area can't. Our certified hand therapy and aquatic therapy in our on-site heated therapy pool, our highly trained therapists and our state of the art Med-X exercise machines gives our therapists many options for treating patients.
